Milk with Amaranth (kiwicha) powder to drink before going to school was a must when I was in elementary and middle school. This instant dissolving grain came in a very simple transparent plastic jar with a artisanal label with a different flavors like chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. My mom said that its nutritional value were enormous but not very known outside my country. I felt a bit confused, but realized that this product was similar but different from the “Milo” I also had for breakfast. I understood Milo was more popular because it came in a “fancier” tin can.

In a recent hotel stay I discovered to my happy surprise that the shampoo and complimentary conditioners were name and ingredient inspired by this Peruvian grains. I thought, finally this great grains have seen the light. As you know Quinoa is also a magnificent food. Many people in the US make it instead of rice, for its nutritional value and light consistency.

So my confusion and a bit of sadness were gone because now the world also knows Quinoa and Amaranth. You can find this great shampoo and conditioners at the manufacturers website. Great job Davies Gate for Quinoa Shampoo and Amaranth Conditioner.
