Ask Marivi: Expert guidance about design for Latin appeal.

More Bebidas Energéticas - Energy Drinks

It seems that Latinos drink a lot of Energy Drinks that almost a handful of companies are making drinks with us in mind. The packaging design of “Caballo Negro” one of the brands I found is primarely Mexican. With green, white and red colors (from their national flag) it enhances how proud Mexicans are of their roots and culture. It can be a “pro” as well as a “con” to do flags or elementes related to nationality, remember that something that can appeal to a Mexican cannot appeal to an Argentinian, Nicaraguan and so on.

“Uno Más’ another energy drink is unique in the sense it has 4 different flavors and 4 different colors. About it’s design: is very playful and sporty, hip hop. I like it. However I have an observation to make: it has a soda feel/look they have to be careful with, you don’t want your consumer specially kids to drink this as such.

As you can see this products are bilingual.
