I have found that sometimes when trying to design a bilingual package is not that easy. Too many elements and copy in a package can make the design look crowded resulting in a less impactful and less attractive design. That's why when I observed Colgate's Simply White box and realized it was bilingual it said to myself, "this package looks good". All the elements lived in harmony (looked like an English version only) in comparison to some crowded English-French labels I have seen and that really left a bad impression to me as a designer.
The carefully amount of bilingual copy makes this package look subtle, interesting and international, plus helps Spanish speaking consumers to be feel familiar with the brand and product. (Colgate is a very known brand among Hispanics/Latinos.)
Have you seen any interesting Bilingual Package on the market? Let me know your thoughts.
