Ask Marivi: Expert guidance about design for Latin appeal.

Aguas Frescas Beverages

Nestle's "Libby's" a well known and familiar brand for us Latinos has introduced among the line of "Kerns All Nectars": "Aguas Frescas" a line of refreshing juice drinks, inspired in the traditional Aguas Frescas from Mexico and Latin America.

These are the observations I found in their package:
-Design treatment for this product has a "Latin" feel, for that I mean a loose, fun, friendly and relaxed type treatment for the "Aguas Frescas" lockup in comparison of the more elaborated, puffy type treatments in most American products.

-Clean very straight forward design includes and image of the traditional big glass "frasco" where the aguas frescas are stored and ready to be served. (I think this detail its what makes connection with the consumer)

-Message hierarchy is simple and direct: Brand, Sub-brand and Product Image. This is good because many product latin products use this simple formula for packaging.
