You are spending a late evening or liesurely weekend in the city. You find yourself in the presence of an Apple retail store. “Hey, I’ve been looking for something that might help me better manage my web content business.”
Looking at the shelf, you find the options are slim to none. Hold on…
I see two products I’m not familiar with: Web Editor 6 - and - Sun Suite 3.
Which one?

My first impression would be, “Gosh, that WebEditor 6 box has some nasty jaggies on it!” Then my second thought would be, “If my business will depend on this software, I better do a lot more research before casually picking up a box off the shelf.”

Just from the box cover, I would be more inclined to look at SunSuite. The simple box actually looks like it fits in with the rest of the products on the shelf. The WebEditor 6 box looks like typical PC application boxes in the middle-to-late 90s. Very outdated looking, way too cluttered on the front. Looks like something you’d pick up in the PC bargain bin for 5 bucks.

I see a row of icons across the bottom of WebEditor that indicate it has scored well in product reviews.
On impulse, it’s WebEditor by a mile.

SunSuite gets my first perusal, of course. Ultimately though I would leave the store and seach online for product demos/recommendations. I can’t imagine not basing a purchase of this kind of software without better research than a retail store, and I would highly doubt that Apple retail associates would be knowledgable in this niche.
