Eva Longoria - The New Latino Reality
Post a Comment | View Comments (0)

Reading thru several articles the theme of the "nuevo Latino" called my attention. As mainstream companies currently are spending more money into tapping Hispanics and more aggressively, I think its worth while making the observation that celebrities like Texas born actress Eva Longoria are the perfect example.

According to Hispanic Wire, this year instead of bringing famous celebrities from Latin America like Ricky Martin or Shakira, Eva will star in the commercial "Rain" for Pepsi that will be transmitted during the "Premios lo Nuestro 2006". This means she is going back to Hispanic TV for the second time.

Eva represents this new reality where a Hispanic-American figure can either be seen in your favorite English speaking show and then starring in a TV commercial in your Spanish TV channel.
